Blog of the Week Image The Tiny Jewel Box: Divalicious Blog of the WeekCongrats to “The Tiny JEWEL Box” Blog, our first Divalicious Blog of the Week.

What I love about “The Tiny JEWEL Box” Blog are Jewel’s adventures in South Florida…whether she is covering a fashion event or taking her little one to the park…Jewel has a wonderful way of making everything exciting. You will truly like Jewel’s posting on her multi-relative family vacation and how they make it work! I’m taking notes. Looking for a new JOB in this economy…Jewel gets you motivated. Plus she got to hang out with actor Idris Elba at a recent event! She is a Working Divas that makes life fun and fabulous! Congrats Jewel! Read more on Jewel’s top posts and her top four blogs she loves to read at the The Tiny JEWEL Box.

Jewel’s Working Diva Mantras are:

Never stand begging for that which you power to earn.
Plan your work and work your plan.

Thanks to Working Divas Network for the great honor of being named their first Blog of the Week. TheTinyJEWELBox is my personal blog, full of random rants, raves, and observations. I started TheTinyJEWELBox on January 1 of this year, having only decided to start blogging the night before. I challenged myself to write daily about whatever came to mind—usually work, family, or both. I continued writing daily (I DID miss a few days) until last week, when it just became too overwhelming. I am now committed to writing at least a couple times a week.

I never thought folks would be interested in what I wrote, but they were and I soon developed a following. In fact, my casual thought last New Year’s Eve has evolved into writing full time—I’ve become the Miami Fashion & Style Examiner for Examiner.com. I certainly don’t want to make it seem like an easy journey, it really wasn’t. This year has been quite challenging, full of health issues, career issues, family issues, and personal issues. But the blogging has become therapeutic and given me an outlet to release my inner feelings. I try to keep it positive and think I do, for the most part.
