Me Time Moments: Relaxing Bath

relaxingbath 300x240 Me Time Moments: Relaxing Bath

There is nothing like a soothing bath to eliminate the stresses of the day. When we get home ladies, there is so much to do…dinner, household maintenance, homework, baby bath time…so when do you have time for yourself? After watching my son as an infant enjoy his bath time I said to myself…”self, you could have the same joy and peace.” So, I started my own Mommy bath time that I would like to share with you.

Once your evening settles down take time for yourself with a relaxing bath and pamper yourself after a long day. Start by making your bathroom area a spa like oasis. Turn down the lighting and illuminate a few candles. Play mid tempo music in a different room so you can hear it from a distance, giving you the feeling that your oasis is grand. Pour a few drops of your favorite aromatherapy oils in your bath water. My favorites are rosemary and lavender; even add a few bubbles or rose peddles if you like. Submerge yourself in the warm scented water and let yourself go. Ahhh….ME Time!

Now if you want to upgrade your relaxing oasis you can use bath and body products to enhance your experience. Use a salt or sugar scrub to exfoliate your body. Try a cooling mask and give yourself a facial. Or perhaps you can just relax and have a glass of wine during your bath.

As you carve Me Time Moments into your life, let your mind wander at the endless possibilities of indulging in your personal serenity.

Hi Karen! Visiting from SITS :) Your comment was above mine!

I love baths!! We’re also from South Florida (we live in the Keys), and recently drove up to Orlando for a family vacation at Disney World. We stayed at the awesome Old Key West resort on Disney property, and our condo had a HUGE jacuzzi tub. We each took turns soaking every day. It was heaven for our sore muscles, after all the walking around the Disney parks.

Hope you’ll get a chance to stop by my blog today. We’ve got a huge giveaway for three great eco-friendly toys and gifts for kids!!

Have a great weekend :)

Hi Faye, Happy Sunday. My family and I just returned from Disney last month. We stayed at Kidani Village and the jacuzzi was heavenly. Next time you visit…go to Basin in Downtown Disney and pick up a few natural bath and body products. Then…after a day of walking the parks taken in some ME TIME with a relaxing bath. You will love. I will stop by your blog today. Thanks for the comment!

In my previous life, BC (before children) I always made time for long relaxing soaks in the bath. I would light candles, play relaxing music and use lots of spa products. It was bliss!

Now, I very seldom find the time to enjoy a good soak in the bath. Hubby and I have an ensuite shower room, and the family bathroom is really the girls’ domain now. The bathroom is full of bath toys, rather than spa products these days!

I do miss my relaxing baths and, thanks to your post, I will schedule in a nice relaxing soak for this week – Thursday, in fact! :D
