Happy New Year! I have some exciting news to tell you. I am moving to Cleveland for a new radio job in February. Thank you to everyone in South Florida for supporting my radio career in Miami, my wonderful listeners in Charleston, SC and Florence, SC., and of course everyone on the Working Divas Network. IT’S TIME time to make our New Year resolutions … but how do we stick to them when we’re all so down on ourselves? Here’s a boost!
Research shows we’re at our lowest ebb this week, disgusted at our over-indulgence at Christmas. That might explain why nearly half of us will have abandoned our well-intentioned pledges before the end of January, according to a poll by insurance company Go compare. So, if you really want to stop smoking, shift some flab or run a marathon, how can you make sure it will happen?

This is a time of change. For the last few weeks I’ve been downsizing my home. I started with my closet. My first rule…if it doesn’t fit it doesn’t stay. (check) Second rule…if I haven’t worn it in a year…gone (check) By the time I was finished I found a few pieces I had forgotten about and my closets contents were half the size. Yeah…progress. Now it’s on to the kitchen! Yet, we are also thinking about moving. For us, it’s about living comfortably and being able to provide for our most necessary needs effectively.

Turn your morning work marathon into a relaxed atmosphere where your creativity and last good nerve are spared. It’s time to get organized.
On the first day try to get to work 30 minutes early to organize your workspace. If your workspace looks like a hurricane hit it…try and hour early. Make sure you have plenty of files and labels on hand.
