Feel Good: You are in CONTROL sister!

tugawar Feel Good: You are in CONTROL sister!

Do you remember being that young sister who yearned for control and independence? In 1986 when Janet Jackson came out with the song “Control” it was our theme song. I’m all grown up, ready and ABLE to take on the world. Responsibility, relationships, school, work, family…I GOT IT. 90-Day Workout Day 10

Day 10
Rest day…please! I’m pulling out the Wii Fit Plus and doing 30 minutes of cardio! Have you check out Wii Fit Plus? There is NO excuse for NOT workout with your own (in-home) fitness program. Instead of turning on the TV to watch your favorite show, turn on your Wii and get in a workout. Choose from yoga, strength training, cardio and balance games. You will love it. Even if it’s a rainy cold day…you can still get your workout on. Check out the demo.

Yoga Pose for Wearing High Heels

yoga in heels Yoga Pose for Wearing High Heels

Follow these simple steps to strengthen and elongate the calves, ankles and toes while adding confidence and some much needed balance to take on your 4+inch high friend.

Take off your heels. They deserve a rest.

  • Place the feet together and lift both arms parallel to the ground, palms facing down
  • Find one point to gaze at and lift up onto the balls of the feet
  • Continue to reach the heels away from the ground, creating lift in the arches. Think platforms, not kitten heels….keep lifting up!
  • Keep the gaze on one point, heels lifted, and begin to bend the knees, drop the tailbone
  • Keep the belly gently pulling to the spine as the body descends until the bottom lands lightly on the heels
  • Take five breaths without placing the heels on the ground and make a slow return back to standing
  • Place heels back down and be fierce

Me Time Moments: Relaxing Bath

relaxingbath 300x240 Me Time Moments: Relaxing Bath

There is nothing like a soothing bath to eliminate the stresses of the day. When we get home ladies, there is so much to do…dinner, household maintenance, homework, baby bath time…so when do you have time for yourself? After watching my son as an infant enjoy his bath time I said to myself…”self, you could have the same joy and peace.” So, I started my own Mommy bath time that I would like to share with you.
